Downtown Parking BoardThe Downtown Parking Board is a seven-member advisory committee, appointed by the San Jose City Council, serves as a public forum for the discussion of Downtown parking issues. The Board's Mission Statement is to "Create and maintain a downtown public parking system that provides available and accessible parking." The Board reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding the City's Downtown Parking Programs, the health and financial stability of the Parking Fund, and the use of parking operations revenues. The Board also reviews and makes recommendations on Downtown parking needs, the expansion, addition or improvement of Downtown parking facilities, and improvements to parking operations Downtown. MeetingsThe Board meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 8:00 a.m. at 200 E. Santa Clara St., 14th Floor, San Jose, CA 95113. In addition to the monthly Board meetings, there are two standing committees of the Board, which meet on a quarterly calendar. The Operations Committee oversees all operations of the City's parking facilities and the Capital/Finance Committee oversees all capital projects and the Parking Fund's financial status. The quarterly meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesdays in March, June, September and December.
